A few days in Paris
We have just spent a lovely few days in Paris.
The trip started at the Stade de France for the rugby(Culli's treat) a great atmosphere in spite of the result!

Then it was my turn for two days of shopping (mostly through the window) some sightseeing and bags of inspiration. Paris is one of my favourite cities, with big open spaces, fabulous shops and colour and texture everywhere you look. If you are coming to knitting holidays in france for a week it is worth allowing a few extra days to visit Paris and for the ultimate treat go on the Stitching up Paris tour - see details here.

I love this chain work for a bit of crochet inspiration

One of the best shops for yarn, fabric, patterns and accessories with ribbons and trimmings to die for and rows and rows of glass beads. There are 10 branches of La droguerie around France all beautifully laid out. See their website here

If you enjoy cooking E Dehillerin is an amazing shop with every utensil and pan you could ever wish for in every size and shape. See their website here

A great knitted sale sign

Notre Dame looking very sad

Culli with Sacre Coeur on top of his hat

The ultimate gin and tonic in Harry's Bar

And lunch in the wonderful bistrot Chartier, good simple food at a very affordable price.
