September 2019 knitting and crochet workshop with tutor Carol Meldrum - day 1
The knitting and crochet accessories workshop with Carol kicks off the autumn season at knitting holidays in France. We have a full house with 5 returning guests and 3 new ones from the USA and Canada.
Everyone arrived on time on Saturday and were all chatting away like old friends by the evening. On Sunday morning we visited the Brocante at Burie a little village not far from home, there were a few interesting purchases made and coffee in the sun.
in the afternoon Carol set out the projects for the workshop. The week is based around working on accessories in knit or crochet or a combination of the two. Carol has brought along a fantastic collection of designs which include mitts, hats, socks and shawls worked in lace, fairisle, crochet cable, Tunisian crochet, brioche, double knitting and a shawl worked in knit and crochet. I have provided the yarn from my stash with a huge colour choice and lots of Rowan Felted Tweed. Everyone picks their colours and chooses a project to start on.
