Second May knitting retreat - final day
On Friday we spent the day trying to finish off projects for the show and tell.
It has been a week of hats and reverse knitting (= unravelling!) But everyone has managed to produce a lovely mix of work.
Our two American guests have been working in crochet all week, Karen has made pan scrubs

a purse and started on a scarf

Sindy has been rolling out the hats (Desert Sun Hat by Julie King) two of them for me! and a bag

and here we are modelling the hats

Sue has been knitting a fabulous cushion cover from the book 'Elements' by Alison Crowther-Smith and Donna Jones

and has started on a the Silver Dollar shawl by Joanna Heriott

Rhona has finished a lovely fairisle hat Da Crofters Kep by Wilma Malcolmson

and started the Hege shawl by Julie knits in Paris

Lillias has been working on this beautiful fairisle snood Break cowl by Sheila Halcrow knitted in Laxdale Yarn, you can order the kit here

Sandra has finally finished a huge lace wrap that she started here a few years ago

and has finished the second sleeve of a sweater

Kate has finished a x-stitch and made up a round bag kit that she bought at the exhibition on Sunday

and started a shawl kit that she also bought on Sunday from Laine Select

Jean has started the ZickZack scarf

and finished a donkey, isn't he gorgeous!

and I have made a start on my Triplett shawl by Linnea Ornstein which I am loving, knitted in some stash Rowan Felted Tweed and my skein of Cowgirl Blues merino twist

What a lovely week with a fabulous group of ladies.
