Debbie Abrahams workshop September 2022

The first knitting holiday of the autumn has been and gone and what a great week we all had. Debbie brought along a fantastic project for the group to work on 'The Patisserie Bag'. This lovely bag is knitted in Rowan Cotton Glace and needless to say has a lot of beads!
The weather was lovely so we were able to spend a lot of time in the garden enjoying the sunshine and a bit of swimming.




The first two days were full day workshops getting to grips with the pattern.


On Tuesday afternoon we escaped to Saintes for a bit of retail therapy, starting in the yarn and fabric shop.






Then on to Debbie's favourite shop Maison du Monde






On Wednesday morning we had a trip to the market in St Jean d'Angely and coffee in the square.






Then on Thursday an afternoon in Cognac, starting at my favourite yarn shop My Little Mailles, followed by a bit of clothes shopping and drinks and knitting in the square.










Because everyone was working on the same project and only a few had finished we decided not to do a show and tell, instead we had a photo shoot with some mouth-watering props provided by Julia.

It was a lovely relaxing week and great to see some familiar faces for the first time since before the pandemic.
