A taste of tartan - knitting and crochet workshop with Carol Meldrum days 1 & 2
At last! we have our first group of knitters here at Knitting Holidays in France since October 2019. It is so good to have knitting company and to see some old friends again. We are a small select group of 3 residents, 3 day girls and Carol.

The weather has been kind and we have been able to sit outside most days. some of them have ventured into the swimming pool.
The theme for the week has been 'A taste of Tartan'. Carol has been helping everyone create swatches with a tartan look using various techniques in knitting and crochet with Domino squares, Intarsia, Fairisle, Weaving and Chevron Stripes. They have then gone on to create bags, spec cases, shawls and scarves.
These are a few of the first swatches
